GOH JIN WEI SHINES AGAIN

She is definitely the rising star of Malaysia. Being only 15, Goh Jin Wei is one of the youngest Malaysian to win an international series title. Moreover, she has strengthen the fact on her confirmation for the World Junior Championships in Peru this November when she defeated 2nd seed, Kirsty Gilmour of Scotland, 21/15, 21/18 in the finals of the Yonex Belgian International.

The Penang born lass was like an energizer bunny winning all seven matches without dropping a single game beginning from the qualifying round till the finals. She became the youngest national champion back in March at the KL Open, she then continued her excellent performance by defeating 2nd seed, Nichaon Jindapol of Thailand at the 2015 SEA Games to clinch the bronze medal and later when to secure another bronze medal at the SCG Badminton Asia Junior Championships in July.

Meanwhile, womens’ doubles pair of Joyce Choong/ Yap Cheng Wen fell short to a higher ranked pair from Denmark, Maiken Fruergaard/ Sara Thygesen in two games. Although they could not make it a double joy for Malaysia, they still did well to beat world No. 30, Isabel Herttrich/ Birgit Michels of Germany en route to the finals.
