Nineteen participants comprising of National coaches and former National players graduated from a six-day Badminton World Federation (BWF) Coach Level 1 Course at Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM), Bukit Kiara, this morning.
The Level 1 course was conducted by BAM earlier this year (27 January – 1 February) in collaboration with Badminton Asia (BA).
It was helmed by former European champion and German player, Xu Huaiwen as Lead Instructor assisted by former Singapore international, Jiang Yanmei and BA delegates; Thanabalan (Development Manager/Course Director) and Sambanthan (Course Instructor).
“First of all, congratulations to all participants that have graduated. This is in accordance with what BAM wants for our coaches.
“It surely is a positive development for Malaysian badminton as a whole where coaches are committed to improve on their knowledge,” said BAM Director of Coaching, Wong Choong Hann.
Among the notable graduates are Chin Ee Hui, Hafiz Hashim, Wong Pei Tty, Vountus Indramawan, Woon Khe Wei and Goh Yea Ching.
