JOB VACANCIES IN BAM

Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), the governing body for the sports of badminton in Malaysia is seeking suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:-

1.         General Manager

The candidate will be responsible for the overall management and administration of BAM. He will manage all staff, work with coaches and officers in the Technical Department, co-ordinate with Council members and deal with various government/private agencies, local and international sporting bodies. He will report to the President, Honorary Secretary and Council of BAM.

  • Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay
  • Good administrative abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Age between 35-50 years old preferred
  • Experience working with any sports’ organisation and/or with background in sports, especially badminton will be an asset

 

2.         Head of the Badminton Centre of Excellence (Badminton Academy)

The candidate will be responsible to manage and maintain the soon to be completed Badminton Centre of Excellence (Badminton Academy) which will consist of the national training centre, office, hostel, kitchen, dining etc. for national full-time and schooling athletes. Besides the upkeeping of the building premises and facilities, the candidate is also required to manage the education aspect of the schooling athletes. He will report to the General Manager and the Building, Facilities and Badminton Academy Committee of BAM.

  • Qualification
  • Diploma or higher qualification
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay
  • Age between 30-45 years old preferred
  • Experience working with educational institution and/or building maintenance will be an asset

 

3.         Marketing Officer

The candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing the marketing of BAM, its events, its athletes and generally the sports of badminton. He is required to identify marketing opportunities and deal with BAM’s sponsors. He will report to the General Manager and the Finance and Marketing Committee of BAM.

  • Qualification
  • Diploma or higher qualification
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay
  • Age between 25-40 years old preferred
  • Experience working in marketing will be an asset

 

Remuneration and Application

Remuneration will commensurate with relevant qualification, skills and working experience of the successful candidates.
