S Kisona continued her remarkable turnaround since suffering a knee injury last November by winning the Sydney International.

The national women’s singles shuttler brushed her opponent, Shiori Ebihara of Japan aside 21-18 21-13 in just 36 minutes to seal her second title win in as many months.

She won the Hellas Open in Greece last month and made it to the semi-finals of the VICTOR Malaysia International Series and the Bulgaria Open.

POST-MATCH COMMENTS OF S KISONA

“I never expected it as I’ll always give my best for every match. I’m pleased to have won, but there’s still a long way to go and I need a lot of improvement.

“I still need a lot of guidance from Datuk Tey Seu Bock (national women’s singles head coach) and coach Loh Wei Sheng.

“I hope to do even better in the upcoming Indonesia Masters in October.”
