Mixed doubles, Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai’s surging form was stopped by Hong Kong nemesis, Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet at the Korea Masters final.

The national duo had earlier put their back-to-back semi-final jinx to bed by beating Chinese Taipei's Lee Jhe Huei-Hsu Ya Ching 21-17 21-17 in the last four on Saturday.

In their first final appearance of the season, the national pair went down 14-21 15-21 to the fifth seeds opponents.

"I think we have managed to do well and maintain our consistency in these three weeks. Though it was strenous, we still had to push through and keep ourselves in good condition," said Shevon.

"It is a good confidence boost for us as a pair. Thanks to our coaches and support team who have guided us well."

Men’s doubles, Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong came within a whisker of qualifying to the World Tour Finals in Guangzhou next month.

The world No. 12 went down fighting in their third final appearance of the season, 19-21 22-20 19-21 to Chinese Taipei's Lee Yang-Wang Chi Lin.
