THE CHINESE SPELL IS BACK AGAIN

It is now left with national top mens’ doubles pair, Goh V Shem/ Tan Wee Kiong at the Yonex Japan Open after the failure of Lee Chong Wei to progress to the next round. Chong Wei lost to his nemesis, Lin Dan of China in the second round today. The 2012 Olympics silver medalist could not give a good fight losing the match 17/21, 10/21.

The only two opponents Chong Wei usually struggles to win are with Chen Long and Lin Dan. As time passes, his chances of winning a title is getting slimmer especially after his painful defeat to world number one, Chen Long in the World Championships three weeks ago.

It is difficult to see the national hero losing to these two players quite often but it does not mean, Chong Wei is not doing anything about it. The 33 year-old has been working hard and is trying his best to overcome his weaknesses to break this spell. He will next compete in the Victor Korea Open next week.
