SIBU: Youngsters Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani continued their dream run at the Malaysian Masters by checking into the men's doubles final at the Sibu Indoor Stadium.
Unseeded Sze Fei-Izzuddin upstaged seasoned campaigners Markis Kido-Hendra Gunawan of Indonesia with a superb 21-15, 21-13 win in just 32 minutes to the delight of the home fans.
The duo will take on Indonesian youngsters Berry Angriawan-Hardianto Hardianto Sunday and they have promised to end their fairy tale run with a title.
Said Sze Fei: "I was quite tense but my partner stepped up today and I'm grateful. We will face a younger Indonesian pair and it'll be a different ball game. We'll be prepared.
"We've surprised ourselves by coming this far…now, we want to go all the way to win it in front of our home fans," said Sze Fei.
Meanwhile, Lim Yin Loo-Yap Cheng Wen blew a chance to reach the final after succumbing to a 20-22, 22-20, 15-21 defeat to Hong Kong's Poon Lok Yan-Tse Ying Suet in the women's doubles quarter-finals at the Malaysian Masters.
