The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) will be organising the second edition of the President’s Cup at the Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara on May 7. The President’s Cup is a team simulation competition involving players selected to represent the country at the forthcoming #SudirmanCup2023 in Suzhou, China, from May 14-21.

The maiden edition was staged three years ago for the national players preparing for Thomas and Uber Cup finals.

As a result, the players benefitted extensively from the tournament, especially those competing in the Thomas and Uber Cup for the first time.

Following the successful staging of the inaugural President’s Cup – BAM, Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM) and the national coaches decided to organise the event again this year. Aside from the high intensity competition aspect, the event will enhance the team spirit and camaraderie necessary to achieve their semi-final target in China.

The competition format would see the 20 players strategically divided into two balanced teams.

Unlike the earlier edition of the President’s Cup, spectators can watch the exciting proceedings this Sunday in Bukit Kiara.
