In form national men's doubles pair, Nur Izzuddin Rumsani-Goh Sze Fei were a whisker away from sealing their second title in three tournaments, after not being able to get the better of world No. 9 Rian Ardianto-Fajar Alfian 18-21 19-21 in the Swiss Open final.

The duo who had won the German Open earlier this month, put up a brave effort but was outdone by the Indonesians in a 40-minute contest.

Sixth seeds, Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai on the other hand were outdone in their attempt to end a long title drought by familiar nemesis, Mark Lamsfuss-Isabel Lohau of Germany. Despite holding an early lead 21-12, the world No. 13 pair couldn't sustain their strong start and lose out 18-21 17-21 in the final.
