Malaysia celebrated a memorable double at the Thailand Open 2025 as Aaron Chia–Soh Wooi Yik and Pearly Tan–M. Thinaah delivered stirring performances to clinch the men’s and women’s doubles titles, respectively, on finals day in Bangkok.

World No. 5 Aaron-Wooi Yik showed grit and composure in a hard-fought 20-22, 21-17, 21-12 victory over Denmark’s William Kryger-Christian Faust. The two-time Olympic bronze medallists’ experience shone through in the 60-minute battle.

This marks their second title of the year after capturing the Asian Championships title in Ningbo.

Earlier, top seeds Pearly-Thinaah produced a strong display to claim their second career SUPER 500 title with a commanding 21-16, 21-17 win over Korea’s Jeong Na Eun-Lee Yeon Woo. The duo showed sharp court coverage and applied constant pressure throughout the 58-minute encounter.

It was Pearly-Thinaah’s first title since the SUPER 500 Hong Kong Open last September, and their fourth overall on the BWF World Tour.
