Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik secured a runner-up finish for Malaysia, finishing as runners-up in a hard-fought men’s doubles final against South Korea’s Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae.

The match began with the Malaysians in control, as Chia-Soh executed a sharp tactical game to take the opening set (21-18).

However, the tide turned in the second set when Kim and Seo increased their pace, forcing a decider with a (21-12) win.

Leading (12-7) at the mid-game interval, the Malaysians couldn't hold off a late-game surge from Kim and Seo.

Despite a brave effort from the Malaysians, Kim and Seo edged ahead in the closing moments to seal the the match (21-19), leaving Aaron and Wooi Yik with the silver.

The intense contest ultimately ended (21–18, 12–21, 19–21) after three gripping sets.

It was a third All England final defeat for the Malaysians, who had also finished runners-up in 2019 and 2024. The loss also marked Aaron-Wooi Yik’s third defeat in four meetings against the Korean pair.
