What began as a debut partnership in Vantaa, Finland ended with a title-winning campaign for Aaron Tai-Yap Roy King, who claimed their first-ever crown together.
The duo’s title-winning run was marked by consistency, as they progressed from the Round of 32 without dropping a single game.
A standout moment came in the Round of 16, when Aaron-King stunned seventh seeds Lee Fang Chih-Lee Fang Jen of Taipei with a commanding 21-19, 21-11 victory.
Aaron-King showcased their seamless on-court chemistry when it mattered most in the final, overcoming Taipei’s World No. 60 Lai Po Yu-Tsai Fu Cheng in straight games, 21-19, 21-19, to clinch their maiden title together.
For the record, Malaysia has maintained an unbroken podium-finishing streak since 2023, with Aaron-King keeping the run alive with their title-winning performance today.
Malaysia’s title streak began with Lee Zii Jia (MS) in 2023, followed by Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani (MD) in 2024 and Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah (WD) in 2025. Aaron-King has now extended the run to four consecutive editions.
