Malaysia’s mixed team, led by skipper Aaron Tai-Kang and Khai Xing, opened their campaign with a 5-0 victory over Macau in the Asian Junior Badminton Championships.
Every player secured their matches in straight games during their opening Group B encounter at the Among Rogo Sports Hall in Yogyakarta.
Doubles pair, Aaron and Khai Xing, set the tone by dominating Chio Chi-seng and Ou Ka-hou with a 21-10, 21-12 win in just 17 minutes.

Siti Zulaika Azmi extended the lead, defeating Chan Hao-wai 21-14, 21-10 in a 33-minute girls' singles match.
Left-handed boys' singles shuttler Mohd Faiq Masawi sealed the overall victory. The 18-year-old took 26 minutes to overwhelm Tong Chon-in 21-14, 21-11.
The remaining two wins came from Ong Xin Yee and Carmen Ting in girls' doubles, and Aaron paired with Noraqilah Maisarah Ramdan in mixed doubles.
