Malaysia's top men's doubles pair, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, clinched their maiden Badminton Asia Championships title by defeating China's Chen Boyang and Liu Yi 21-19 21-17 in the final held at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium.

This historic win not only adds to their growing list of accolades — including the 2022 World Championships title and Olympic bronze medals in 2020 and 2024 — but also ends Malaysia’s 18-year wait for a men’s doubles title at the continental meet. The last pair to do so were Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan Wah in 2007.

Throughout the tournament, Chia and Soh displayed exceptional form, notably winning all their matches in straight sets. Their consistent performance underscores their status as one of the world's leading men's doubles teams.
