Two Malaysian representatives took to the court in the quarter-finals of the 2026 BWF World Championships at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Arena today.

Fourth seeds Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik powered past China's World No. 26 pair Hu Ke Yuan-Lin Xiang Yi 21-11, 21-17 in 35 minutes to book their place in the semi-finals.

Facing China's rising pair, Chia-Soh immediately seized control of the mid-court exchanges, with Wooi Yik's tight interceptions at the net consistently setting up Aaron for decisive backcourt smashes.

Their attacking play allowed the duo to comfortably take the opening game 21-11 before maintaining their composure to close out the second 21-17.

Meanwhile, World No. 6 pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani fell to top seeds Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae of Korea 16-21, 16-21 in 41 minutes.

Despite matching the top seeds in aggressive exchanges and attacking play, Fei-Din were ultimately unable to overcome the Korean pair's solid defence and clinical counterattacks.

The defeat leaves Chia-Soh as Malaysia's sole representatives heading into the semi-finals.
