Malaysian fourth seeds Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik produced a composed performance in the semi-finals of the 2026 BWF World Championships at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Arena, defeating the tournament's top seeds to advance to the final.
Chia-Soh stunned World No. 1 Korean pair Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae in straight games, winning 21-17, 21-18 in 43 minutes to book their place in the gold medal match.
The thrilling contest saw Chia-Soh execute their game plan effectively, with Wooi Yik taking control at the front court while Aaron provided the finishing firepower from the back court.
Maintaining their composure during the crucial closing stages, Chia-Soh held their nerve to close out the second game 21-18 and seal the victory, narrowing their head-to-head record to 2-3.
