National mixed doubles shuttler Toh Ee Wei has sustained an injury to her left hand and back, resulting in her inability to compete in several upcoming tournaments, including the Arctic Open and Denmark Open.
The injury occurred when Ee Wei suffered a fall on Tuesday, 24 September 2024, while working out in the BAM gymnasium, resulting in a gash on her left hand that required stitches.
“Ee Wei needed several stitches and will not be able to play in the next few tournaments. The important thing is she’s alright, and we expect her to recover in a few weeks,” said BAM Director of Coaching, Rexy Mainaky.
“Her condition is being closely monitored by the medical team, and we will provide updates on her progress in due course.”
Everyone at the Association wishes her a swift recovery and looks forward to seeing her back on court soon.
