#Hangzhou2025 DAY 2: MALAYSIA MAINTAIN MOMENTUM ON DAY TWO OF WORLD TOUR FINALS

On the second day of the BWF World Tour Finals in Hangzhou, Malaysia continued their campaign with several key encounters across multiple categories.

The day began with women’s doubles World No. 2 pair Pearly Tan-Thinaah Muralitharan facing Japan’s sixth-ranked duo, Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi. 

Pearly-Thinaah maintained their strong momentum, securing a straight-sets victory, 21–13 21–18, in a match lasting nearly an hour.

Action continued in the mixed doubles category as Malaysia’s World No. 3 pair, Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, took on Indonesia’s Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Pasaribu. 

After dropping the opening set, Chen-Toh staged a strong comeback to win the second and third sets, marking their second win in Group B.

Malaysia’s men’s doubles World No. 4 pair, Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, added another point for the nation with a 21–18 21–19 victory over Chinese Taipei’s Chiu Hsiang Chieh–Wang Chi Lin.

However, men’s doubles World No. 2 pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik were defeated by China’s fifth-ranked duo, Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang, 14–21 18–21.

Meanwhile, mixed doubles World No. 9 pair Goh Soon Huat-Lai Shevon Jemie pushed China’s World No. 1 duo, Feng Yan Zhe–Huang Dong Ping, to three sets before narrowly losing 25–23 11–21 20–22.
