Malaysia had a double cause for celebration on Sunday as Ooi Jhy Dar-Yap Roy King and Ong Ken Yon sealed title wins at the India Junior International.

Unseeded Ken Yon, ranked at a lowly 495th in the world junior rankings, rose to the occasion to beat homester, Meiraba Luwang  21-13 19-21 23-21. The Melaka-born shuttler saved two match points in impressive fashion to secure his career-first international title.

Roy King-Jhy Dar on the other hand succeeded in sealing their second straight title in as many weeks.

Fresh from winning the Celcom Axiata Malaysia Junior Open last week, the fifth-seeded duo overcame third seeds Takuma Kawamoto-Tsubasa Kawamura of Japan in a thrilling 17-21 21-16 23-21 rubber game.
