World No. 13 Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun ended Malaysia’s title drought at the Indonesia Masters, securing their maiden Super 500 crown in Jakarta on Sunday.

The Malaysian duo triumphed over Indonesia’s world No. 4 pair, Fajar Alfian and Rian Ardianto, with a commanding 21-11, 21-19 victory in just 38 minutes to claim the men’s doubles title.

Their triumph marks Malaysia’s second-ever Super 500 title at the event, following Vivian Hoo and Woon Khe Wei’s women’s doubles success in 2011.

The win also ended Wei Chong and Kai Wun’s losing streak against Fajar and Rian, earning them their first victory in five encounters.
