Mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei delivered a National Day gift to the country by clinching the Korean Open title.

On the day after National Day, Tang Jie and Ee Wei showcased incredible resilience, coming from behind to defeat China's Guo Xinwa and Li Qian with a score of 17-21 21-13 21-13 in a thrilling final in Mokpo.

This victory marks the world No. 9 pair's first World Tour Super 500 title, adding to their previous triumphs in two Super 300 events last year—the Orleans Masters and the Taiwan Open.

Tang Jie and Ee Wei also celebrated success in their third final appearance this year, having previously finished as runners-up in the Super 300 Thailand Masters in January and the Swiss Open in March.

However, there was no double joy for Malaysia, as women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M Thinaah were defeated 12-21 11-21 by the home favorites and former world No. 3 duo, Jeong Na-eun and Kim Hye-jeong in the final.
