National women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah won their title with a victory over Japanese Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi in the final match of the 2025 Kumamoto Masters in Japan today.
Playing in Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium, the top seeded were in a class of their own as they strolled through the match, winning 22-20, 21-19 in 54 minutes.
The Malaysian pair have now recorded their seventh win out of their ninth encounters with the Japanese duo so far.
Pearly-Thinaah’s success earns them a total of US$ 37,525 (RM155,071.98) in prize money.
This is their third title of the year after Thailand Open and Arctic Open.
