Malaysia badminton squad’s title challenges ended in the finals of Vietnam International Challenge 2018 in Hanoi, yesterday.

National backup men’s doubles pair, Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik were beaten 18-21 14-21 by 5^th seeds, Maneepong Jongjit-Nathakarn Yordphaisong of Thailand. Determined women's doubles duo Chow Mei Kuan-Vivian Hoo meanwhile went down fighting to 2^nd seeds, Baek Ha-na-Lee Yu-rim of South Korea 10-21 21-17 17-21 in a thrilling 78-minute duel.

Independent shuttler, Goh Giap Chin on the other hand lost 9-21 15-21 to top seed, Japan’s Kento Momota in the men's singles final.
