The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is pleased to announce the return of Teo Kok Siang as Mixed Doubles Coach and Wong Pei Tty as Women’s Doubles Coach, strengthening the national coaching setup as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance player development and international performance.
The return of both coaches brings valuable experience and familiarity with the national programme, having previously served in BAM’s coaching setup.
Kok Siang, a former national player, previously served as a coach in BAM’s junior and senior doubles programmes for five years before leaving in 2022. He returns to work alongside the existing mixed doubles coaching team.
Pei Tty, a former World No. 1 and Olympian who represented Malaysia at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, previously served as a coach in BAM’s women’s doubles department. She returns to contribute her experience to the development of the national women’s doubles pairs.
Their appointments are part of BAM’s continued efforts to strengthen its coaching structure, bringing together experienced coaches to support the technical, tactical and overall development of the national players.
Both coaches will officially assume their respective duties on 1 September 2026.
