The PETRONAS Malaysia International Series 2026 continued with Day 4 action as players battled for places in the semifinals.

In the opening match, Damien Ling and Teh Xin Ying advanced to the last four after fellow teammates Isyraf Hafizin and Lee Joinne were forced to retire due to injury while trailing 8-11.

Irfan Shazmir and Genevie Lim also progressed after defeating fellow teammates Ungku Ameer and Rachel Tan 21-19, 21-12 in 26 minutes.

In the men’s singles, Roslie Razeeq Danial defeated national teammate Kong Wei Xiang 21-19, 20-22, 21-18 in a hard-fought one-hour and 10-minute battle to book his place in the semifinals.

Razeeq expressed his delight after reaching the semifinals of an international tournament for the first time.

“My plan today was to play with patience and keep my composure as I wanted to reduce my unforced errors,” he said.

He added that he had used the previous days of the tournament to prepare himself and become more comfortable on court.

Razeeq also said his coach had reminded him to play boldly and avoid overthinking during the match.

Meanwhile, Ayu Fu Sheng also booked his place in the last four after overcoming fellow Malaysian Lim Boon Le 25-23, 6-21, 21-11 in 59 minutes.
