In the Swiss Open, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei faced defeat against their compatriots Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Lai Jemie, resulting in the former settling for the runners-up position.

The defeat came as a result of a stellar performance by the world No. 14 pair, who dominated the final against the world No. 9 duo, securing a 21-16 21-13 win in Basel on Sunday (March 24). This win marked their first title since their victory at the 2018 Singapore Open.

For Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Lai Jemie, this win was particularly significant as they had reached the final in the Swiss Open for the third consecutive year, having finished as runners-up in the 2022 and 2023 editions.

On the other hand, Tang Jie and Ee Wei, despite their strong performance, settled for their second runners-up finish of the year, having also secured the same position in the Thailand Masters earlier in January.
