Malaysia’s challenge at the Thomas Cup will be spearheaded by former world champions Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik. As the country's top-ranked doubles pair, they will lead Malaysia's campaign in Chengdu, China, from April 28 to May 5.

Aaron-Soh headline the list of players announced today by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) for the Thomas Cup. Joining them is leading singles player Lee Zii Jia, currently ranked No. 11 in the world. Additionally, Tze Yong, currently ranked world No. 18, has been provisionally cleared by the medical team pending final assessment, and has secured his spot in the squad.

BAM has also selected Leong Jun Hao, Cheam June Wei and Justin Hoh for the singles category, while Nur Izzuddin Rumsani, Goh Sze Fei and Muhammad Haikal Nazri will represent Malaysia in doubles.

For the Uber Cup, BAM has named experienced singles players Goh Jin Wei and K. Letshanaa in the team. They will be joined by Siti Nurshuhaini Azman, Wong Ling Ching, Siti Zulaikha Azmi, Teoh Mei Xing, Go Pei Kee, Tan Zhing Yi, Ho Le Ee, and Chan Wen Tse.

BAM Director of Coaching, Rexy Mainaky, emphasized that player selections were made after thorough discussions with the coaching staff. "We have been closely monitoring the players during training in recent months. After evaluating their condition and form, the coaching team has finalized the squad," said Rexy.

"I am confident that the selected players are eager to compete in the most prestigious team event in the world. Our players will undoubtedly give their best in China. Some younger players in both the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup squads will be determined to prove themselves and deliver strong performances," Rexy added.
