The national singles squad is set to undergo a five-day training camp with the Denmark national team in Copenhagen from 18-22 August, as part of their final build-up to the BWF World Championships in Paris.

The Malaysian contingent includes men’s singles Leong Jun Hao and women’s singles K. Letshanaa, both set to compete in Paris (25-31 August), along with Justin Hoh.

National Director of Singles, Kenneth Jonassen believes the joint camp presents an ideal platform for growth and high-level preparation.

“This training camp is a win-win situation. It offers our players a fresh and highly competitive environment that can help them raise their level and sharpen their game,” said Kenneth.

“Being in Europe will also help them acclimatize to the conditions ahead of the World Championships in Paris. More importantly, they’ll benefit from training alongside world-class players in a different setting, which can bring out new dimensions in their game.”

The camp will see the players sparring and training with Denmark’s top national shuttlers under shared sessions-a move expected to boost confidence and provide exposure to different styles of play.

The national contingent is scheduled to depart for Copenhagen on 16 August.
