(Kuala Lumpur, 22 October 2018): Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Council has approved the implementation of sanction on all tournaments in the country; ranging from state to international level during the meeting held at Akademi Badminton Malaysia, Bukit Kiara earlier today.

The decision was reached to ensure a systematic streamline of all badminton-related activities in accordance with the Laws of Badminton as per Badminton World Federation (BWF) as well as the rules and regulations of BAM.

With the sanction, BAM will be in a better position to govern the sport through matches being held as per the BWF tournaments and organisers using qualified technical officials.
