The BAM juniors continued their strong run on the second day of competition, producing a series of solid performances across the courts.

Eight representatives secured straight-games victories, reflecting their growing confidence and consistency throughout the tournament.

In the boys' singles, Ng Hao Tong recorded a convincing win over Johor's Goh Wei Zhan (21-8, 21-11), while Marcus Hang comfortably defeated Sarawak's Wyn Ong Yin Ze (21-8, 21-8).

Derrick Leung overcame Pahang's Kohgularaj Ravichandran (21-12, 21-18).

“I wanted to finish the match in two games and avoid a decider,” said Derrick.

Motivated by a defeat in an earlier match, Derrick was determined to bounce back with a stronger performance.

“Yesterday I lost a match, so today I wanted to win all my matches,” he added.

In the girls' singles, Chua Jing Xuan defeated Terengganu's Dayana Farisha (21-19, 21-15), while Annabell Gan overcame Johor's Ellis Ngi Cai Lin (21-14, 21-18) to improve her head-to-head record against her opponent to 2-0.

Mirza Batrisyia also advanced after defeating Kedah's Lau Xin En (21-13, 21-11).

“I hope I can do better in my next match, especially in the front court, as I made a number of mistakes there,” said Mirza, who is aiming for the title.

In the girls' doubles, Auni Fatihin and Tan Jing Er defeated Selangor's Thanisha Govindarajoo and Ho Wen Jie (21-11, 21-10), while Leong Hwee Ling and her partner overcame Perlis' Airis Alisha Azizi and Nur Aina Batrisya (21-12, 21-7).

Hwee Ling was pleased with the result but believes there is still room for improvement.

“Overall, we played well, but we need to be more composed and consistent throughout the match,” she said.
