The semi final stage of the All England 2026 saw Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik advance to the final, while Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan's journey ended in the semi-finals.
Malaysia’s top men’s pair, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, put on a solid performance to beat China’s Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in straight sets.
The Malaysians dominated the first set, winning comfortably (21-11).
The second set proved more competitive, but Chia-Soh kept their cool during the closing points to win (21-19).
With this victory, they move into the final and remain the country's best hope for a title.
In the women's doubles, Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan’s run came to an end after losing to South Korea’s Baek Ha Na and Lee So Hee.
The Malaysian pair fought hard in both sets but struggled to break through the steady defense of the South Koreans.
Pearly and Thinaah eventually lost with scores of (17-21) and (18-21).
Despite the loss, reaching the semi-finals is a positive result for the duo against world-class opponents.
