Malaysia has officially guaranteed a spot in the men’s doubles semi-finals of the 2026 All England Open following a high-stakes Day 3 at the Utilita Arena.

The battle between Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik and Arif Junaidi-Yap Roy King as Chia-Soh were pushed to their limits in a 63-minute thriller, eventually securing victory with a scoreline of (21-15, 18-21, 21-18).

Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun earned their spot by clinically dispatching Chinese Taipei’s Chiu Hsiang Chieh and Wang Chi-Lin (21-14, 21-18).

In the women's doubles, Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan continued their dominant form while only needing 43 minutes to overcome South Korea’s Lee Seo Jin and Lee Yeon Woo in straight sets (21-14, 21-14).

In the national men’s singles, Leong Jun Hao found it difficult to find his rhythm against Japan’s clinical Koki Watanabe, eventually falling in a swift (9-21, 13-21) defeat.

Meanwhile, Veteran duo Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Lai Jemie put up a spirited fight against China’s rising shuttlers Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin, but ultimately succumbed (16-21, 18-21) in a tactical encounter.

Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai tried to push China’s Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi to the brink, though they narrowly missed out on a quarter-final with a (19-21, 17-21) loss.

Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani were edged out by Indonesia’s Rian Ardianto and Rahmat Hidayat, facing defeat with 21-23, 16-21.
