A determined Malaysian team rallied to edge out India 3-2, securing a spot in the mixed team semi-finals of the Asia Junior Mixed Team Championships in Yogyakarta on Monday.

Malaysia will face China in the semi-finals at 5:00 PM (MYT), after China's decisive 3-0 victory over Taiwan.

India initially took the lead when their mixed doubles pair, Sanskar Saraswat and Shravani Walekar, defeated Malaysia's Kang Khai Xing and Noraqilah Maisarah Ramdan 21-16 13-21 21-17 in a 51-minute battle.

World No. 47 girls' singles player Tanvi Sharma extended India's advantage with a hard-fought 15-21 21-15 22-20 win over Siti Zulaikha Azmi, putting India up 2-0.

However, Malaysia's resolve remained unshaken. Faiq Masawi, the world No. 7 boys' singles player, staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Pranay Shettigar 15-21 21-18 21-19 in a grueling 66-minute match.

The girls' doubles pair Ong Xin Yee and Carmen Ting then leveled the score by dispatching Navya Kanderi and Shravani Walekar 21-16 21-15.

The decisive victory came from the world No. 1 boys' doubles pair Khai Xing and Aaron Tai. They showcased their dominance by defeating India's Bhargav Ram Arigela and Arsh Mohammad 21-18 21-10, securing Malaysia's place in the semi-finals.
