Malaysia stormed into the quarterfinals of the 2024 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (BAJC) after a dominant 5-0 victory over Kazakhstan in their second Group B match in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Following their impressive win against Macau with the same scoreline yesterday, Malaysia continued to showcase their strength. Girls' singles player Ong Xin Yee set the tone by overwhelming Alissa Kuleshova 21-3 21-3.

Boys' singles player Roslie Razeeq Danial then extended Malaysia's lead to 2-0, comfortably defeating Otabek Kamilov 21-9, 21-6. The girls' doubles pair, Nicole Chau and Carmen Ting, secured the crucial third point with a commanding 21-3 21-5 victory over Alissa Kuleshova and Diana Namenova.

The boys' doubles team of Goh Yi Qin and Lok Hong Quan maintained the momentum, crushing Aituar Romazanov and Arnur Tapishev 21-8 21-7. Finally, the mixed doubles duo completed the rout with a swift 21-2 21-7 win over Otabek Kamilov and Diana Namenova in just 14 minutes.

With this victory, Malaysia tops Group B and secures a place in the quarterfinals, with one group stage match remaining against the United Arab Emirates tomorrow.
