Malaysia’s mixed doubles stars Chen Tang Jie–Toh Ee Wei sealed a spot in the BWF Super 750 China Masters semi-finals after outlasting Hong Kong’s fifth seeds Tang Chun Man–Tse Ying Suet 21–12, 12–21, 21–17 in a thrilling one-hour battle at the Shenzhen Arena today. The third seeds now hold a 2–0 head-to-head advantage over the Hong Kong duo, following their Arctic Open 2023 victory.
Chen–Toh will next face China’s Feng Yan Zhe–Huang Dong Ping for a place in the final.
In men’s doubles, Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani fell short against Indonesia’s world No. 47 pair Fajar Alfian–Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, losing 16–21, 11–21 despite a spirited effort.
