Malaysia’s mixed doubles duo Jimmy Wong–Lai Pei Jing powered their way into the final of the Korea Masters 2025 after edging past home favourites Yun Seong An–Lee Yu Lim in an intense three-game thriller on Saturday.

The Malaysian pair held their nerve to secure a 21-14, 19-21, 21-15 victory in a match that lasted nearly an hour, marking another milestone in their impressive campaign this week in Jeonbuk.

Jimmy and Pei Jing started confidently, dominating the opening game 21-14 with sharp net play and clever shot placement. Although they stumbled in the second, the Malaysians bounced back brilliantly in the decider to seal the win.

With the victory, Jimmy Wong–Lai Pei Jing became Malaysia’s last remaining representatives in the tournament and will be eyeing their first ever BWF World Tour title when they contest the final on Sunday.
