The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) today announced the return of singles player K Letshanaa to the national team. The 20-year-old shuttler, who suffered a back injury and eventually resigned last year, will rejoin BAM effective 1 March 2023.
Letshanaa, called up to the national team when she was 17 years old in 2020, had shown immense potential including winning the national Under-18 title and the Mauritius International. She was unfortunate to have suffered a severe back injury which forced her to step aside.
BAM is delighted to have a player of her potential back with the national team. She will surely add depth and strengthen the women’s singles team.
The Association has been closely monitoring her progress during her recovery process and has been impressed with the commitment she has shown. BAM will work with her and assist in her development and progress.
