The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) expresses its gratitude and appreciation to Wong Choong Hann for his significant contribution to Malaysian badminton since his appointment in 2018.

“Choong Hann has sacrificed much throughout his tenure with BAM, and we can not thank him enough for his services to our sport. On behalf of BAM and the Council, I want to thank Choong Hann for his contribution to our sport,” said BAM President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria today.

“He was always passionate about his role, determined to deliver the best for Malaysia. Many players benefitted from his leadership.”

Choong Hann has expressed his gratitude to BAM for giving the opportunity to serve but felt it is timely for him to pursue his own interests.

BAM will now begin the challenging process of identifying a capable replacement to take over as the national singles coaching director. This process will take time, and BAM will leave no stone unturned to seek out the right candidate for the job.

After the process is concluded and a replacement is finalised, BAM will officially announce the new singles director.
