The national women’s team concluded their SEA Games 2019 campaign with a bronze medal after going down to defending champion, Thailand in the semifinals.

Ratchanok Intanon delivered the first blow against Soniia Cheah winning 21-17 21-14.

In the second match, Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean were edged out in a narraw 22-24 18-21 defeat to Rawinda Prajongjai-Puttita Suparajingkul.

S Kisona went down in a 55-minute encounter against Busanan Ongbamrungphanan 21-15 11-21 12-21.
