World No. 2 Pearly-Thinaah secured a 21-14 19-21 21-16 win over Indonesia’s world No. 58 Rachel Alleyssa Rosse-Febi Setianingrum at the Gymnasium 4, Thamasat University Rangsit Campus in a tough 78 minutes semifinal match.

Meanwhile, world No. 2 Chia-Soh secured a clinical 21-10 21-12 win over Indonesia’s world No. 19 Leo Rolly Carnando-Bagas Maulana and advanced to final.

Both Malaysian pairs maintain a 3-0 streak head-to-head over the Indonesians.

In contrast, the other men’s doubles pair, Man Wei Chong–Tee Kai Wun, were eliminated in the semifinals after a straight-games loss to Indonesia’s Sabar Karyaman Gutama–Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani 21-16 21-17.

The same fate befell the singles department.

In the women’s singles, Wong Ling Ching put up a strong fight against second seed and former World Champion, Ratchanok Intanon in a rubber set defeat 21-11 18-21 21-17.

In the men’s singles, Justin Hoh was defeated by Indonesia’s Alwi Farhan, 10-21 21-15 14-21, while Leong Jun Hao also fell to an Indonesian shuttler, Mohd Zaki Abdullah 22-18 21-13.
