The quarter-final stage saw several Malaysian pairs in action against a variety of international opponents.

In the women’s doubles, Tan Zhing Hui and Teoh Mei Xing delivered a clinical performance to overcome Thailand’s Kodchaporn Chaichana and Pannawee Polyiam (22–20, 21–13) to secure their semi-final spot.

In the mixed doubles, an all-Malaysian clash saw Bing Kun and Noraqilah defeat compatriots Velayutham Poopathi and Wong Zi Yi in straight sets (21–16, 21–18).

Meanwhile, Loh Ziheng and Nicole Tan pulled off a resilient victory against Australia’s Michael Owen and Gronya Somerville, bouncing back from a heavy second-game loss to win (21–15, 6–21, 21–15).

Tan Zhi Yang and Teoh Mei Xing fell in a nail-biter against India’s Sathwik Reddy Kanapuram and Radhika Sharma (20–22, 21–19), while Wee Yee Tern and Tan Zhing Hui were narrowly beaten by Indonesia’s Muhammad Al Farizi and Jesicca Maya Rismawardani in a close encounter (18–21, 19–21).

In the semi-finals, Tan Zhing Hui and Teoh Mei Xing reached the final four but were halted by Chinese Taipei’s Hsieh Mi Yen and Yu Chien Hui (8–21, 19–21).

In another all-Malaysian battle, Loo Bing Kun and Noraqilah Maisarah overcame fellow compatriots Loh Ziheng and Nicole Tan in a three-set marathon (16–21, 21–17, 21–14) to earn their place in the final.
