Malaysia's two remaining pairs are now just one win away from lifting the Taipei Open titles after winning their respective semi-finals.

Top seeds and World No. 5 Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah secured a straight-games victory over America's Francesca Corbett and Jennie Gai (21-15, 21-17), extending their head-to-head record to 3-0.

The victory marks their second final appearance of the season after winning the Indonesia Masters title in January.

Fifth seeds Aaron Chia and Aaron Tai were also pushed to the limit in a gruelling one-hour battle against home pair Chen Cheng Kuan and Liu Kuang Heng.

Facing not only the home favourites but also a partisan crowd, Chia and Tai held their composure to prevail in a hard-fought three-game encounter.

After narrowly dropping the opening game 24-26, they rallied to take the next two games 21-19, 21-16 and book their place in the final.

Pearly and Thinaah will face Japan's Sumire Nakade and Miyu Takahashi, while Chia and Tai are set to take on Indonesia's eighth seeds Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin in their respective finals.
