Malaysia’s run in the Thomas Cup concluded at the quarterfinal stage after a 3-0 loss to China in Horsens.

Leong Jun Hao, fielded as the first singles, went down to China’s Shi Yu Qi in three games (10-21, 21-16, 9-21).

In the doubles, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik were edged out by the Chinese pair in a closely contested match (22-24, 14-21).

The tie was sealed in the second men’s singles, with Justin Hoh losing to world No. 7 Li Shi Feng (14-21, 13-21).
